Frequently Asked Questions

No. Your partner portal is a free student management system. It’s like having a virtual extension campus for allied health classes—but with zero start up costs. To get started, create your free partner account and we’ll ask for basic contact information including the name of your organization and your email address.

Students may self-pay for any course. But if your organization plans to pay on their behalf, students use a course Registration Code to freely access the course materials. Then PMC will send a detailed invoice.

Yes. Depending on your school’s budget and student volumes, Petra Medical College can work for you on a sliding scale.

PMC’s platform is compatible with all modern web browsers and either Apple or PC/Android systems. The learning portal may be accessed via internet connection on a desktop computer, laptop, Chromebook, tablet, or mobile device.

Courses vary from 9 weeks to a single semester and are stand-alone classes that lead to a single career track (e.g. EKG technician). Certificate degree programs, however, take 6-12 months and lead to multiple career tracks. The medical assistant program, for instance, consists of five separate courses and equips students for multiple career paths—medical assistant, EKG technician, or phlebotomist.

Yes. PMC offers virtual/interactive Labs, but many schools opt to hire or contract their own part-time lab instructors to allow students to practice the skills they are learning. PMC can provide suggested lab curricula, skills check lists, etc.

There are no required textbooks. However, PMC does provide suggested textbook readings. For more info, please download the Course Catalog. Many schools purchase a set of textbooks and loan/assign them to students during the semester, but this is optional.

Many PMC courses culminate in students sitting for nationally-recognized certification exams. This cost is not included in course tuition. But you may easily sign up with American Allied Health directly, to register and/or pay for your students’ certification(s).
